Rural Virtual Academy


Open Enrollment for the 2010-11 School Year ~ February 1 - 19, 2010

     Apply on-line for open enrollment at https://www2.dpi.state.wi.us/OpenEnrollApp, during the application timelines of February 1-19, 2010.  If you do not have access to a computer, please contact the district office so other arrangements can be made. 

     Parents/guardians are reminded that in order to apply for open enrollment, the first condition is that the district of residence (where you live) offers a program at the same grade level as the program you are applying to enter into.  The Rural Virtual Academy will again be available in 2010-11 for students in Abbotsford, Colby, Medford, Prentice and Rib Lake.  If you reside in a different district, you may also attend Rural Virtual Academy by following the open enrollment process.  To learn more about Rural Virtual Academy, please follow the above link.

There will be a 7th and 8th grade dance on Friday, February 12 from 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $3 and  will be sold Thursday and Friday during lunch.  The doors will open at 6:45 and please have a ride waiting promptly at 9:30 p.m.


Friday, April 30th

School will be in session on Friday, April 30th, due to the school closure in October for H1N1.


     The Medford Area Public School District offers a Home Resource Assistance Program for children and their families in need. Services include, but are not limited to: donations of clothing, food, and school supplies; connecting families with public and private agencies that might assist with particular areas of need; and parent education.

     Donations are made by local organizations. Eligibility criteria and/or professional judgment is used to determine services. If you feel a child could benefit from the Home Resource Program, please contact Barb Kloth our Home Resource Assistant at Medford Area Elementary School.
