The Taylor County Literacy Council helps promote literacy among children and adults here in Taylor County.
We offers Adult Tutoring, Little Free Libraries, R.E.A.D. Initiative (Research, Educate, and Advocate for Dyslexia), Reach Out and Read at Aspirus in Medford, ELL Tutoring, Monthly Book Donations, Polar Express Book and Movie Event in December, Reading Class for Parents, March Into Reading with Taylor Credit Union, Harry Potter Night, Friend of Literacy Awards, and more.
We partner with the Medford Area Public School District, Aspirus of Medford, and other agencies on select activities.
The Taylor County Literacy Council is a non-profit 501C3 tax status.
Board of Directors include: President, Joseph Greget; Vice-President, Dr. Cathy Reuter; Secretary, Cathy Reuter; and Treasurer, Chuck Prihoda. We have an active membership from other council members in the planning and implementation of our activities.
