Medford Area Public School District contracts with Krug's Bus Service to transport approximately 2,350 students attending both public and parochial schools on a daily basis. Our district is relatively large, so the approximately 350+ square mile area is served by 21 a.m. routes and 21 p.m. routes. In addition, the district owns and maintains two buses which transport special needs students throughout the day. Bus routes are evaluated annually in an attempt to keep passenger time as short as possible.
The Medford Area Public School District has a Transportation Handbook to assist parents and students with questions and procedures about transportation. To access the booklet in .pdf version, click here.
It is the goal of the Medford Area Public School District to provide safe, timely and economical transportation for all eligible students residing within school attendance boundaries as designated under provisions of the appropriate Wisconsin State Statutes and board of education policies governing pupil transportation.
