Medford Area Public School District's Accountability Report Cards
Pursuant to Wisconsin State Statute 115.385(4), the Medford Area Public School District is required to provide parents of students attending district schools a copy of the school’s accountability report which is published by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) in the fall of each year. The report will also be linked to the district’s website.

The Medford Area Public School District, pursuant to Wisconsin State Statue 120.12(13)(a), has adopted the Wisconsin Academic Standards for the 2025-26 school year. Visit WI DPI Standards here to view specific subject area standards in detail.

Note: 2015 Act 20 prohibits the Department of Instruction from using accountability reports based on data from the 2014-15 school year.

As a parent / guardian of a student in the Medford Area Public School District, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child. Federal law allows you to ask for certain information about your child’s classroom teachers and requires us to give you this information in a timely manner if you ask for it. Specifically, you have the right to ask for the following information about each of your child’s classroom teachers:

• Whether the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has licensed or qualified the teacher for the grades and subjects he or she teaches.
• Whether the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has decided that the teacher can teach in a classroom without being licensed or qualified under state regulations because of special circumstances.
• The teacher’s college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees and, if so, the subject of the degrees.
• Whether any teachers’ aides or similar paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if they do, their qualifications.

In compliance with the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA). This is notice that the Medford Area Public School District has an Asbestos Management Plan at the school district office. The plan is available for inspection by the public, parents, and district employees. The district performs six month periodic surveillance of asbestos in January and July and full re-inspections every three years. For more information, please contact the district office.

Public notice is hereby given that public records may be requested from the Medford Area School District in accordance with board policy KBA.  The District may also impose fees upon the requestor in accordance with the Wisconsin Public Records Law.  All records requests should be submitted in writing to the District Administrator by email or in person during business hours at the District Office at 124 West State Street, Medford, WI 54451.  Local public office holders at the Medford Area School District include Board of Education members and the District Administrator.
